About

Nicolas Palazzo

I’m Nicolas. I’ve always wondered why things are the way they are, and I enjoy finding problems and the process of finding a solution to them. Creativity is a big part of who I am and ranges from art to building products. I paint and explore art, mostly with watercolors and acrylic ink, blending different techniques together. I also write songs and their lyrics, and I record and produce them.

I got into graphic design because working in prepress drove me to often catch the mistakes graphic designers missed when delivering the files I needed to work on.

I got into Product Management because while I was learning UX Design, I discovered the Product Owner role and I wanted to have a say on what gets built. Since September, I’ve been training as a Fullstack Product Builder at Jedha, so I can build what I used to only specify.

I care about sustainable IT and the impact that a product has on people’s lives. I believe that technology can and should bring value to people while respecting nature. Mirror, my own project, follows the same idea: less is more. It keeps counts only, needs no AI model and no network, and sends nothing anywhere.

Two of the most useful things I did at SNCF Connect, through OCTO Technology, were features nobody built. Users kept asking for train-number search, but it already existed: the wording hid it. After three months of discussion with governance, an A/B test on the wording won, and the new version stayed in production for at least a year. A planned feature went to a station test with the UX designers: 50 travellers in one day. Most printed or screenshotted their ticket, so the test stopped it.

I’m looking for an in-house product team from January 2027, on an AI product, from discovery to production.
